The Service
“We run day trips throughout the year to places of interest in southern Scotland and northern England.
We also run a scheduled bus service from Moniaive and Dunscore to Castle Douglas and a hire service for affiliated community groups”

With effect from Thursday, 17th March 2022 this service will resume fortnightly:
March: 17th, 31st
April: 14th, 28th
May: 12th, 26th
June: 9th, 23rd
July: 7th, 21st
August: 4th, 18th
September: 1st, 15th, 29th
October: 13th, 27th
November: 10th, 24th
December: 8th, 22nd
Pickup
Moniaive 11.15am,
Kirkland 11:20,
Wallaceton 11.25,
Dunscore 11.30,
then via Newtonairds and Shawhead, arriving in Castle Douglas at midday.
Return journey from Castle Douglas at 3.05pm, arriving back in Moniaive at 4.00pm.
Passengers can join the bus anywhere between Moniaive and Shawhead, and the service is open to everyone.

Covid-19: The bus is now operating at full capacity, but facemasks are still required.
If you haven’t enjoyed a few hours in Castle Douglas on a Thursday – give it a try – there are many interesting shops, excellent eating places and Threave Gardens are beautiful all year round. Should you wish to combine pleasure with grocery shopping then the bus would be happy to collect you and your bags at the supermarket!
